Indeed, the people who actually complained realized that if they were to contact you with identifying information it would become apparant that all of them are canonical employees….

Enough of these insane conspiracy theories. Part of the reason that Scott felt justified in barring pure-Progeny content is that less than a week before, he had removed Jeff Waugh’s blog altogether for pure Ubuntu content. Both Scott and Jeff and Canonical employees.

Seems Ian is now back on Planet Debian. Good, I hope they reinstate Jeff Waugh as well. The whole holier-than-thou anti-business attitude is silly.

Personally, I felt rather annoyed by some of the posts, because they were just pure reposts of press releases and other marketing hot air. If I wanted that, I’d read the press section of Progeny’s website: if there are interesting, technical posts about CL, please post them here by all means. I come to Planet Debian to read ramblings from hackers, not from marketing departments.
