Almost famous

I noticed the other day that Wil Wheaton runs Debian, so I dropped him a note. Wil is probably best known as the actor who played Ensign Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation, though I’m very sure he gets tired of reading that–so, scratch that, I’ll just say fellow geek.

Sure enough, he responded, and we now have a nice little email conversation going. I even got him to send Deb an email (Stand by Me was one of her favorite movies as a teenager).

Another one for the cool department. I normally poke fun at the celebrity obsessed (you know the type, the people you see at the airport reading People or Us Weekly instead of the newspaper), but I have to admit, this is just way too cool to not brag about here.
